About the Game

A love letter to the Grand Line, built by fans

Grand Line Spin is a free, fan-made browser game for people who love One Piece and love arguing about who belongs on the strongest crew.

What it is

We wanted a game that captured the two best parts of being a One Piece fan: the thrill of a lucky "pull," and the endless debate over who's the strongest. So we built a spin-and-draft crew builder. You spin a ship's wheel, sail to a random arc or era, and recruit pirates one at a time into a ten-member crew โ€” then find out how your dream team stacks up with a Crew Rating out of 1000. Our second mode, Build the Pirate King, turns that idea into an attribute-chasing challenge where you assemble the perfect fighter across ten stats.

Every run is different. With a large roster spanning arcs from East Blue to Elbaf โ€” plus flashback sagas like the Roger Era and God Valley โ€” no two crews feel the same, and there's always a reason to spin one more time.

Why we made it

We're a small group of One Piece fans, not a studio. This started as a fun weekend project and grew into something we genuinely enjoy playing ourselves. There are no accounts to create, no downloads, and no paywalls โ€” just open the page and start building. It runs entirely in your browser and works just as well on a phone as on a desktop.

How it's built

The game is a lightweight web app: the character roster, scoring model, and synergy bonuses are all data-driven, which lets us tune the balance and add new characters over time. The optional global leaderboard lets legendary crews (rated 950+) sign the Hall of Fame, so you can compare your best builds with players around the world.

A note on fair play: Grand Line Spin is an unofficial fan tribute. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Eiichiro Oda, Shueisha, or Toei Animation. One Piece and all related names and characters are the property of their respective owners. We reference them here purely out of appreciation for the series.
